Security
Last updated: 2026-07-02
Beepsme controls your mouse, keyboard, and apps, so we hold it to a high bar. Here is how we protect you.
Local-first by design
- Your voice, screenshots, memories, and settings live on your own machine, not our servers.
- Beepsme only acts when you activate it. It is not a background listener.
- Every step is shown on screen, and a single Stop halts everything immediately.
Keys and accounts
- On managed plans, the desktop app holds no AI provider key. Requests are metered and forwarded by our backend, so a secret never sits on your disk.
- Your license is bound to your devices, up to your plan's limit, to prevent sharing.
- Sign-in is passwordless (email link) or Google, so there is no password for us to lose.
In transit and on the machine
- All network traffic uses HTTPS.
- The app's local control channels accept connections only from Beepsme itself and reject requests coming from websites, so a page you visit cannot drive your computer.
- Actions that are hard to undo require your explicit confirmation.
